This warranty entitles the owner to 1 year warranty service of their BenQ Joybook, only at BenQ ORW Authorized Service Center after completing registration. |
|

|
"Carry-in" will be the standard service mode. But not all BenQ service center will accept Joybook repair. Please phone helpdesk first to inquire. Service specialist will suggest you the nearest service. |
|

The ORW does NOT cover non-BenQ software related issues. |
|

These rights and restrictions of ORW program applied only to the Overseas Regional Service for BenQ Joybook travelers. It is invalid for local warranty service. And only BenQ ORW authorized service center can accept ORW service. Please phone helpdesk to inquire the nearest service center. |

Applicable customers and products |
|
|
This warranty is offered only to customers who purchase Joybook products from authorized BenQ global dealers, whether in physical stores or on line. |
|

ORW Designated Service Region |
|
|
The Overseas Regional Warranty is available in countries where BenQ has authorized service centers. |
|

|
No matter ORW service is charged or for free, it is only provided by BenQ in designated countries or regions. |
|

|
BenQ reserves the right to change the designated countries or regions where ORW service is available. Please check the latest information on "Global Helpdesk". |

ORW Period |
|
|
This warranty is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. If the customer registered online, ORW period will be calculated automatically by BenQ system. If there is any question about the warranty expiration, please contact BenQ service center of your purchased site for modification.
Any dispute about ORW period, the purchase date on your purchase receipt would be a good proof for your ORW valid period. |

Warranty Covers |
|
|
The product will be repaired free of charge (including repair services, replacement parts, or replacement of the refurbish parts) subject to the following restrictions: |
|
|
|

|
The product is still within the period of warranty. |
|

|
The product has been used in an appropriate manner and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. |
|

|
The product's malfunction is the result of defects in workmanship or normal wear and tear, but not due to misuse or accident. |
|
|
|
Not covers : |
|
|
Software problems are not covered in BenQ's ORW service. |
|
|
The product is out the period of warranty. |
|
|

ORW Limitation |
|
|
BenQ cannot offer repair service under the following circumstances: |
|
|
|

|
The customer does not personally bring the machine to the local service center. |
|

|
The customer sends the machine by courier or post, or requests that the repaired machine to be shipped to another country. |
|

|
Repairs are sold with the machine or offered as promotional gifts, such as the mouse, handbag, and so on. |
|

|
The customer requests restoration of software provided on the recovery CD, re-installation of hardware drivers or application software. |
|
|

Terms and conditions for paid repair services |
|
|
|

|
Not standard "Carry In" service mode. (Including of transportation , packing, local pick service etc. The service is to be charged and based upon the condition of that local stipulation.) |
|

|
The ORW warranty has expired, or the damage to the Joybook was due to misuse or accidents. |
|

|
The external appearance of the product has been damaged. |
|

|
Damage was caused during transport, by dropping or physical human impacts that after the product was purchased. |
|

|
Damage was caused by connection to power sources of the incorrect voltage. |
|

|
Damage was caused by not following the operating instructions or by incorrect use of the product. |
|

|
The recovery CD included in the product is provided under license by Microsoft, and therefore BenQ is unable to take responsibility for loss of, or damage to, the CD. In case of loss or damage, the customer should pay for it if a new CD is required. |
|

|
Damage was caused by third-party repairs or service undertaken by a technician not authorized by BenQ. |
|

|
The serial number label of the product has been changed or removed. |
|
|
|
Please also note the following terms and conditions for charged repairs:
|

|
The repair fee may include the cost of replacement parts, as well as applicable service fees. |
|

|
BenQ will inform the customer repair fee to get confirmation for our customer before repair is carried out to let the customer know the repair fee and confirm the customer's willingness to proceed. In such a situation, the total time required to effective repairs may be greater than normal. |
|

|
Overseas repair centers will determine the currency in which fees are to be charged. |
|

|
If BenQ has informed the customer the cost of repairs and the customer does not wish to proceed the repair, the customer must return to the service center to retrieve the Joybook. |
|
|

|
Limitation for repair procedure |
|
|
If the customer needs repair service, please contact the local customer service and repair center, pay attention to limitations described below. |
|
|
Important notes regarding the repair procedure : |
|
|
If your expected stay in the country is long enough to allow repairs to be completed, then we will undertake the repairs in that country. |
|
|
The time required to complete repairs will be estimated, but may differ from country to country, depending on the possibility of obtaining replacement parts or varying service guarantees. |
|
|
In case of being unable to obtain replacement parts, BenQ will reserve the right to extend the shipment lead-time to an appropriate period. |
|
|
Under no circumstances nor at any time shall BenQ offer data backup services. Please make a backup of all data and essential software on your hard disk drive in advance before the repair. BenQ will not take responsibility for loss or damage to any of the customer's data or software, nor for any removable disks left in the machine. |
